Betty has over 20 years of experience in the lending industry. Previously a loan officer with Norwest Mortgage of Hawaii and a credit officer with HFS Federal Credit Union in Hilo, Betty is a seasoned professional.  She has a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawaii at Hilo and is active with the Hawaii Island Board of Realtors.

Betty is active in the community volunteering her time with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Waiakea High School PTSA and Athletic Association, and the Big Island Junior Golf Association.
